Backyard Chickens are all the Rage

 I talk about raising chickens with all my crunchy friends.  Apparently, while I’m talking, others are doing.  Looks like anyone can do it!  They are doing it on my block. They sell the eggs on Saturday mornings.

Chocolate 101

Chef Stacey and I  took a great class with our friends at Gourmet Imports.

We learned all about chocolate; conching, dipping and tasting of course!  Gourmet Imports is the wholesale division to Nicole’s Gourmet in Pasadena.DSC_0118 Last month we learned all about artisan cheeses; soft rinds and washed rinds, broken cheeses and bloomy cheeses. 

It has been great getting  to know what happens to the food we eat, before we eat it.
