The Girls just got back form the big Time Bank Convention in the Midwest and I’m sure they’ll have lots to share. Of course, it’s a potluck so food and drink will be available, and if you hit one of our lovely Farmer’s Markets, just bring your purchase and we can cook it up together. So Drop in if you want more info on the EPTB. I’ve had stringer lights installed, tutored my son in literature and get freshly roasted coffee beans delivered. Come on over and learn more at 5 on Sunday.

With our new food waste recycling program with Athens Services, we were able to take an event for 70 guests and turn it into our FIRST Zero Waste experience. The client wanted paper products instead of china and of course, we do that. But since we received our new recycling bin that takes everything but glass and plastic, I got to thinking. So, we used our stainless silverware instead of plastic utensils. Instead of disposable plastic cups, we used our re-usable 9 ounce wine tumblers. We brought the plates and food waste back to the Shoppe’s recycling bin and Voila! We did it! This is a big day for Jennie Cooks. I am very proud.
